DEXUN INC respects the intellectual property of others and expects users of DexunShort to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

1. Designated copyright agent

Copyright Agent, DEXUN INC

Please send notices by email; this is the fastest way to reach us. This contact is only for copyright notices; other messages will not receive a response here.

2. How to submit an infringement notice

Your notice must be in writing and include:

  1. a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
  2. identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (or a representative list if several works are covered by one notice);
  3. identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it, such as the series title, episode number and the URL on dexunshort.com;
  4. your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address;
  5. a statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  6. a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

When we receive a complete notice, we will remove or disable access to the material and make a good-faith attempt to notify the user or licensor who provided it.

3. Counter-notice

If material you provided was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our copyright agent that includes:

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal;
  3. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  4. your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which DEXUN INC may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person's agent.

We may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notice unless the original complainant notifies us that it has filed a court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringement.

4. Repeat infringers

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

5. Misrepresentations

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. If you are not sure whether material infringes your rights, consider consulting an attorney first.
